2026 Tryout Schedule

 

Mustang 10U:

Saturday Oct. 4th & Sunday 5th at Roemer Park

10U 2:30-5:30pm 

Commitment and Expectations:

-Player and parent commitment required to make the season successful

-Player attendance and positive attitude are critical

-Focus on other players and make sure a team can be fielded for all games

-Players to always help teammates with positive encouragement

-Playing time may be limited in the event of absences or behavioral issues

Parent volunteers needed:

-Team parent to collect regular feedback on team dynamics and report back real time to WBA in a constructive manner

-Help organize outside trips (if any) and coordinate travel season logistics

-Coach spring house league teams-notify me immediately if interested as it fills up

-Always stay positive in front of the players – channel feedback through team parent or WBA board. Stay out of the dugout, and do not provide advice or criticize coaches or umpires during games. Sit down the line and enjoy it-it ends all too quickly.

 

 WBA is a non-profit and its board is 100% volunteer based

 

Payments for 2026 Travel Season

10U Mustang - $2,400

-Includes Saturday spring practices in April and May run by IBA senior coaches

-Winter Workouts and Summer Travel Camp are included in the price.

 

2025 Travel Season

  Winter Workouts:

• The Yard (Northbrook) – First day - Monday, January 5; Last day – Tuesday, March 25

  • 10 Green – Tuesdays 5 - 6pm (Turf), Saturdays 2 - 3pm (Cages)

  • 10 Blue    – Wednesdays 5 - 6pm (Turf), Sundays 8 - 9am (Cages)

  • 10 Gray    - Mondays 6 - 7pm  (Cage), Saturdays 8 - 9am (Turf)

Spring Practice Schedule

Saturdays April 11, 18, 25; May 2, 9, 16

• 10 Green     – Hibbard North – 1:30pm to 3pm

• 10 Blue – Hibbard North – 3pm to 4:30pm

• 10 Gray -Hibbard North- 430pm to 6:00pm

DO NOT GO TO OTHER PRACTICE TIMES DUE TO CONFLICT-practices are more team oriented in the spring. Attendance will be taken.

 

Summer Travel Camp:  (each weekday-10 sessions)

• Every weekday the weeks of June 8th and 15th

  • 10 Green   – Hibbard North from 9 - 11am

  • 10 Blue   – Hibbard North from 11am - 1pm

  • 10 Gray -Hibbard North from 1-3pm

Summer Travel Season – June through July 20 (Championship Sunday for LSFBL) plus team practices January through May

Tournaments -

Bulldog Tournament, in Winnetka-Memorial Day Weekend – all Mustang teams

Jim Christ Tournament – TBD – all Mustang teams (in Glenview)

Fall Clinic/Travel Tryout Preparation – Late August & September

Travel Tryouts – Early October

Rest Arms – October through December
