2024 Pinto Summer House League

Pinto Summer League – NEW FORMAT!

The objective of the Pinto Summer House League is to help rising 2nd & 3rd graders further develop their baseball skills while at the same time increasing their understanding of the rules of the game.

In response to parent feedback, we are including skills clinics in the summer program. Clinics will be led by senior level IBA coaches assisted by parent volunteers and will focus on developing fundamental skills with the goal of giving young players confidence to enjoy playing baseball.

In addition to the skills clinics, there will be a weekly game. Games will be umpired by IBA coaches who will use this opportunity to coach baseball IQ. Having the coaches involved in the games will allow them to work with the players on situations, teaching the fielders to reach quickly to determine where they need to be, in the context of a real game. It also provides an opportunity for the coaches to see which skills need added focus and guides them in the planning of subsequent clinics.

New for this year, each team must have a parent volunteer coach at each event. Parents

can commit to the full season or can sign up for just one session! Teams will be capped at 12 players friend requests are welcome – we will do our best to pair friends. Please list names of friends in the “Buddy Request” field when registering.

Parent volunteers are needed. If you’re available over the summer to help, please sign up at the registration link.
